Hi,
getting this message and cant find the reason for it. Double checked everything, phpgallery is working by itself, the plugin is activated, the gallery link shows on the sidebar and theres no errors on my logs. Please help.

In PHPWebGallery Administration,
Under Links choose Categories, under Indentification choose Customization and make sure that Photon is seleted for Interface Theme.
This might be your problem.

sorry but cant see any “Customization” in phpgallery administration. There’s a “configuration” with a “default display”. Is this what you are referring to? Photon/clear interface template is selected. Makes no difference to change it, thought. Still “gallery server down”.

Hi,
ok, you are in phpwebgallery administration, at the top of the lefthand list of links there is a section called ‘Links”, click on the top link which is called ‘Categories’ you will then be in the default phpwebgallery. At the bottom of the new list of links on the left is a section called ‘Indentification’ there are 3 links, click the middle one ‘Customize’ this will load a page called ‘Profile’. In the middle section ‘Preferences’ make sure the ‘Interface Theme’ is Photon.
Its a bit confusing but I’m pretty sure this is your problem.

Have you checked that your gallery path is correct in:
Wordpress Admin, Options, Photon, Relative path to phpwebgallery :
If this is incorrect it will produce ‘Gallery server down’ message when you click on the gallery link on your site.
Can’t think of anything else at the moment.
